Good morning, we hope everyone was safe yesterday and got to have some fun in the snow.  We are back in the store and have a fresh hot pot of tea for you to sample.  Today’s tea is made with Bancha, Keemun Congou, Lemon Verbena, and Galangal which has a very rich slightly sweet and minty with a citrus finish.

We also have our new tea service set up so you can come in and get your own custom cup of tea for just $3.00.  Take your pick from any of our premium base teas and add onto it from our selection of herbs, spices, and teas for just $0.10 per add-on, limited to 4 add-ons.  We will combine these for you into a compostable tea bag and add it to a cup of perfectly heated water.
When you are all done with your cup of tea the cup, sleeve, and bag can all be composted and the lid can be put into your plastic recycling container.

While you are enjoying your tea be sure to have a look at our other items and visit the other stores in the mall.

Herbal Keemun Congou Blend

Good morning!
It is a whopping 1 degree Celsius, that is 33.8 Fahrenheit, or in other words really really cold.  To warm you up we combined our Keemun Congou with Hibiscus, Lemon Verbena, Galangal and Stevia leaf.  This is sure to give you a little pick me up, warm you up, and even do your immune system some good.

Please remember that it is absolutely okay to experiment with your teas and make new and enjoyable combinations.  Don’t limit yourself to preblended teas that are stale before you even pour water over them.  We have 11 base teas and over 40 herbs and spices that you can use to various effect.

Sinus Relief Tea

I woke up this morning and my sinuses were a mess so today’s theme is sinus relief.  Our tea today is a blend of Keemun Congou, Peppermint leaf, Stevia leaf, and Clove.  Peppermint and clove are both great for relieving sinus issues while the stevia provides a little sweetness and the Keemun Congou gives it that nice full bodied base with a little kick of caffeine.

In our diffuser, we have Rosemary hydrosol with lemongrass and peppermint essential oils.  This smells delightful and has my sinuses feeling better already.

Come on down whether you have sinus issues today or not and make your own discoveries.

Assam, Keemun Congou, Nilgiri Tea

Today’s tea blend features the rich nuttiness of Assam, full bodied sweetness of Keemun Congou, and the floral citrus notes of Nilgiri.  We always want you to feel comfortable making your own blend so it is really fun for us to try some new things to get those creative juices flowing.

If you come into our shop today you will be rewarded with a wonderful combination of Frankincense and Rose hydrosols as well as some lemon essential oil.  Some have asked what you can do with a hydrosol and this is one of the great uses as it will impart much more aroma from your diffuser without being over powering by potentially using too much essential oil.

A Fun Tea Blend for Saturday

Continuing with our blending trend we combined Lemongrass, Hibiscus, Galangal, Bancha, and Keemun Congou teas for our tea of the day.

We have never tried this combination before but are looking forward to tasting it when it is finished.  It should have a nice rich and malty flavor from the Keemun and Bancha teas with a hint of citrus and a light ginger like tang from the galangal.

We really hope that you are encouraged to try new things with your tea and make it a fresh cup every day.

Keemun Darjeeling Blend, What Kind of Blend Can You Make?

The other day we were asked what you could blend Keemun Congou with as it is a popular tea to use in blends.
Today we decided to blend it with our Darjeeling tea.  Both types of tea have a very light flavor but are distinctly different and should play nicely on the palate.

Why not create your own blend.  We have 8 unique teas and even more herbs and spices all of which can be used to add medicinal properties and enhance the flavor of your tea.  You can buy as little as 14 grams of each item which is typically under $1.00, this way you can experiment and when you have found your perfect cup you can purchase larger quantities of the tea, herbs, and spices you know you want.

Keemun Congou F.O.P. on tap

Today we have Keemun Congou on tap for your sipping pleasure.  This is a high-quality, full-bodied tea that is slightly sweet and produces a red cup.

Though we have this tea on its own we also have other teas and herbs that you can use to come up with your own custom blend.  Perhaps a little clove, cinnamon, galangal, or mix with another black or green tea to add more depth to your cup.

If you aren’t sure what you would like to blend we would highly recommend that you get a sample of some teas, herbs, and spices and have fun finding your perfect cup.
